just talked to my boyfriend and he told me when he was pulling into the driveway that a fox ran across the driveway and one was eating one of our pullets....he took out his gun he has in his car and shot but doesnt think he got any....ewwww....im so upset...of course..im at work and our dog was in the house...this wouldnt of happened if he was outside or we would of been home.....in the broad daylight...

i lost one of my favorite chickies one day to an unknow predator, but we have seen foxes close to our farm so we think it might have been a fox

I would set up a trap in the area the fox ran.

Don't beat yourself up. It could have happened whether you were home or not, or if the dog was outside or not. Foxes can be very quick. Hit and run, and be gone before you could have gotten out the door or the dog woke up from its nap.
