I have two Rouen ducklings about 5 to 6 weeks old and growing fast ! I'd like to move them to the unheated garage, but lows are still getting in the 40's at night. Are they able to stay warm enough if I provide a small heat lamp in a corner of the brooder ( 4x4 chicken wire pen) When will they be able to stay out side over night without a heat lamp ? -Thanks

Definitely can but a heat lamp helps if they want it...

Good to know, can't be to many cold nights left. These guys are growing much faster than the chickens and turkeys . The feed bag says, "Duck starter and grower " they weren't kidding lol.

My Spring Ducklings went out of the garage into a small duck-house on March 3rd, four weeks old. We still had snow falling at that time. They had a heat-pad and an infrared lamp and spent several nights in the teens outside. Just 1½ weeks later i released them into the duck-run around the house. Since then they sleep with the large ducks on the duck-platform, first month they had their infrared lamp but that has gone as they no longer need it. It was snowing heavily when i release them:
