Safeguard equine dumb question

I've been waiting for more than a week for Amazon to deliver the safeguard, it arrives late yesterday. I was so happy when I gathered my little hen today to give her the first dose. I ASSUMED the plunger it comes in would have graduations on it to tell me how much is 0.25ml so I could dose her. WHY did I think that? It is for horses! Of course they only tell you how much for a horse by the size of a horse.

Ordering the plunger/syringe to measure the correct dose will easily take another week. Can someone tell me how much a small bantam would take ? Size of a chickpea? Red kidney bean ? A sphere with the diameter of a dime ?

I apologize for the stupidity of this dilemma, but the hen shouldn't suffer for my poor ordering skills.

Ask your pharmacist if they will give you a baby syringe. Often they will give out one for free.
If not, you may be able to find syringes at TSC.

I am in Canada, so no TSC, and very remote so no pharmacy nearby, but those were great suggestions. Thank you.

Pea sizes can be so inconsistent. My "large pea" or "chick pea" may be a totally different thing than yours.
Do you have a gram scale?
@casportpony may be able to tell you how much the dose should weigh, I don't know if that's possible, but we can always ask!

0.25 ml is about the size of a frozen green pea.

So "10 peas" would equal a dose of Fenbendazole for a 1 pound chicken right?
