3 1/2 weeks ago I wormed my 3 bantams with wazine and wanted to follow up with a stronger wormer. So I bought some safeguard liquid goat wormer but I'm not sure what the dose for a bantam is. I think it's 1/2 cc for standards so would it be 1/4 for bantams?

1/4 ml should be close. The dosage is 20 mg per each 2.2 lb (or roughly 10 mg per lb.) Safeguard is 100 mg per ml, so 1/4 ml equals 25 mg. If your bantams are small give 1/8 ml, if larger, give 1/4 ml. You can safely give them twice the normal dose, because higher doses are used for 3-4 days in a row on gapeworm and some of the tough worms. Dawg53 is always very helpful if you have any questions.

Ok thank you. Do I just do it once or do I give it to them several days in a row?

Sorry to confuse you, but for just a normal worming, you treat only once, the repeat in 10 days. For gapeworm, the treatment is 3 days in a row. Sometimes I talk too much.

They did have roundworms. I'm following up to kill the larvae. Does this qualify as a normal worming?

I recommend that you dose them in the morning with the safeguard, then again Tuesday morning, and finally Wednesday morning with the dosages that Eggcessive typed in post #2.

Ok, and what is the withdraw period for eggs?
