Sages two remaining eggs started hatching last night, one is hatched now, and looks like a little Sage, so it's hers, the other is still in the process of pipping.

I will get pics of the first little guy shortly

I am so happy for her, though I have NO idea who the daddy is LOL

I just checked the baby, is it normal for them to have abit of blood in/around their mouths?

he's nice and fluffy now, and acting like a tired baby, but I wasn't sure if thats normal, the other baby is slowly working his way out.

the second baby is out now, a little black and yellow one, I'm not quite sure what to make of the blue one..he's legs look really swollen and he's still not quite up to pare, the black one seems much more active already.

pics coming.

well, I got y'alls pics and was also reminded why i don't like co-brooding ducks, it's all good til the babies hatch

I've brought both of them in and put them in the bator to stay warm,

the little blue one has a wound on the top of his beak that he was bleeding from badly, I put some flour on it and now it stopped, one of his legs is also REALLY swollen, it's red and warm, the other was, but it's not as bad now, and it looks like he was bleeding around his hip

I'm going to hope they both survive and when they're up and walking, tryto get Sage off the nest and hope she takes them.

Maude was acting very agressivly towards the blue baby earlier pushing it around and such, i think she may have hurt it.

well, the second baby made it through the night,

his sibling with the swollen leg died last night, he was alive and fine the whole day, I'd been kepeing them active with drinks of alittle bit of sugar water, he was moving around and keeping, then i went to help my wifes grandfather with the new duck house, he must have died within minutes before we got home, wich is only like a 2 minute drive, he was still warm and floppy.

the other little duckling, Hoover is getting around really well, I tryed to give him back to sage this morning, and while she came out and was interested in him, he wasn't so much, I think she tryed to get him to go back to the nest, but he wouldn't, so he's now living with the chicks in the chick room.

I also found a 3rd duckling laying on the ground of the pen earlier yesterday that had been crushed
