Could some one explain the genetics behind this one for me and how you should breed and the results you get from breeding what to what? I assume the black in the Salmon and the Wheaton is just replaced with blue as I believe that blue doesn't affect reds and browns and that breeding will still result in normal Salmon and Wheaton as well as Blue and Splash Salmon and Wheaton.

Also does anyone have any experience with Catalpa Grove Farm's Faverolles (Large Fowl or Bantam)? Seems they used to have White and Blue Faverolles as well as several other breeds but no more. I ordered hatching eggs from them once and out of 24 I ended up with one Salmon Faverolle pullet. She was gorgeous but didn't really help with outcrossing (the one time a rooster would have been nice) and boy was she expensive...lol

Yes, the same--splash replacing black--in some breeds it is one way of putting "white" into a bird rather than using dominant white. Not sure about the dark splashes
