Tractor supply labeled this guy (?) as a salmon faverolle, but I am still unsure of the breed and gender. S/he is significantly larger than all of the flock yet very distinctive in colors. And I'm not certain Tractor Supply had the correct breed because s/he looks nothing like the others. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks, yall! The buff-colored one is the other SF... I think she is just beautiful! The lovely lady behind her is a Russian Orloff (right?!) and she's very pretty too!
The two SF's are the most skittish chickens we've ever had, her more than him. It's my goal to make her love me! tempImageoS2tnk.png tempImageMUVMzb.png

She is! I am a huge fan of SFs, but I don't have room for more birds right now.

Looks like it!

Good luck! You can do it- when I got my chickens, they were TERRIFIED of me, and now I can pick all of them up for a cuddle.
Such a pretty girl!

Huh. We’ve had SF females from 2 different sources (at different times), and a SF male from a third source and all of them were the MOST laid back, relaxed, non-skittish chickens of any of our chickens over the years. Beautiful birds though!!

I’m sure they will become much more friendly as they get a little older.

Hi All,
I've just started my Faverolle journey. Had originally ordered 2 dozen Salmon eggs to hatch but the breeder got the order wrong and sent me a mix. They were a difficult hatch and I only got 6 in total. 1 little black one wasn't growing like the others and unfortunately didn't make it.
They are 5 weeks old and I currently have these 5 left (as seen from the top view in the 1st photo) - 1 beautiful Salmon hen and it looks like 2 Salmon boys and I would appreciate some help with the other 2 - I think I have 1 Salmon Blue Hen to the right of the middle photo and 1 Dark Salmon Hen to the right of the last photo.
Are the Blue and the Dark Salmon rarer? I was really trying to create a flock of the Salmon in the hopes of breeding them next year but am currently re-evaluating this atm due to what I have.
The breeder sent me a dozen replacement eggs - I have 4 in the incubator supposed to hatch today or tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath as they took over a week to be delivered by mail and I think I'm just being hopeful with what is in there.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
Edwina
