I ordered four salmon faverolle chicks from MPC. They are about 5 weeks old now. All four look almost identical, except one has blackish breast feathers, where they other three have pure white breast feathers with little tan specs. Safe to say my black Breasted little chick is a roo?

I'd say that's definite. Salmon Faverolle cocks have a black chest and muff. Lucky you! I've always loved and wanted some Faverolles. They are so unique!

A picture would help. A lot of hatchery pullets are mismarked, and mistaken for cockerels early on. If it is a cockerel the comb should be showing some color by now.

Here is an example of a hatchery pullet with a black chest.

Thanks for the info. I never realized pullets could be black-breasted, too.
