Hi I got a supposedly female SF 6-7 weeks ago from my local feed store (I believe they source from Ideal Hatchery) to be a companion to my BO hatched at home...
These guys have been raised by my Australorp hen so I haven't handled them much until yesterday when the SF got attacked by a hawk. She is doing really well post mauling despite a clearly ruptured air sac, but now that I'm spending more time with her, I think she is not a she, but I don't have any other SF to compare to so I'm asking for confirmation.
Assuming y'all think dear Glow Stick is a cockerel, should I wait and see how things develop or see if the store will swap now? Is that cheating since it might die from puncture wounds in a few days anyway
? Any thoughts on this are appreciated, I'm not down for a noisy roo, though roosters are allowed in my neighborhood.
