salmonella worries

If most of you are like me you sell your extra eggs. Well my worries are the scare on salmonella thats going on the tv. How do you know your eggs or hens have salmonella? that is something i do not want to do is kill someone due to not knowing!!!! Anyone????

salmonella is not a problem that's typical of small flocks.And if you cook the egg there is no problem at all. Large hatcheries are plagueded with this disease because of the unsanitary conditions that are inherent in a large factory.

I think (but am not completely sure) that your Vet. could test your birds for salmonella if your are concerned.
