Long time since I visited the page, and I admit I am not happy writing this.
One of my girls have salpingitis. She weighed 1.24 kilos when at the vet (thursday) and they want her to be at least 1.5 kilos.
Right now I am giving her medication morning and night (See photo) and this supplement every second hour. The vet told me to feed her 20g per day, which is super hard to do. They also want her to start eating on her own and yet, now three days in (sunday), she hasn't started eating? How long when put on pain medication and antibiotics does it take for hens to start eating again?
She is already super picky with food and I have tried offering rice, oats, sweet potatos, bananas, apples, shrimps.
She has also now been given a suprelorin implant and I will be speaking to the vet again on Wednesday. For now I am just alone and worried sick for my girls.
If we end up loosing her, I will come back and ask for suggestions on what to do with my other girl, right now the option is adopting another girl (same age or younger?) Or introducing her to another flock (is it really safe for a 5 year old?).
