The post about popcorn got me to thinking about salt and chickens. I've been avoiding giving chicken our "left overs" from the table because of the salt. Now, I give them the cooking scraps all day long. I know that pretty much any thing alive needs salt in moderation, and that some of the feed recipes call for salt to be added. So how much is too much? How much is okay? I'm not talking about feeding the chickens salt cured ham or salt cod, just normal table fare. I should add that we aren't heavy salters to begin with. Now, pepper that is a different story...

Kind of the conclusion I came to. No bullion laced whatever etc. Everything in moderation.
