These 4 girls were legally confiscated and rescued from an "inadequate" home. I have promised to either keep them or find them a forever home. I'm not "selling" them becouse that would be unethical considering their circumstances. I hate to give them up but they are large fowl and I have mainly bantams; I also am at maximum for the small space I have. They have layed really well for me over the last few days, green, brown, and light tan eggs, and they are friendly, especially the red ones. I have wormed them and animal control has clipped their wings and checked them out, and they seem very healthy. They are a bit dirty in these pics-- they had motor oil of some kind on them.
So, anyone here on BYC feel like claiming this laying flock? GOOD HOME ONLY! Send me a message. Hope you don't mind a few questions.
EE (large!), white leghorn(?), and 2 golden comets(?), or possibly one is a poor quality RIR.
I can take better pics if you need.

I am looking to add 4 hens to my flock, but I live in NH. Has anyone ever shipped chickens so far? I am looking for pictures of my chicken coop and situation to show you that we are good chicken owners, but it just may be too far. Any thoughts or other offers?
Thanks, Chicks in hill

Well I'm sure they are waaaaayy too expensive and heavy to ship. But thank you for your offer! I am sure someone in NH will see this and help you out. Or post a new topic in the "wanted" section.

I have no way of knowing how old they are. But they lay every day almost. They are friendly enough, especially the red ones can be petted without catching them first. They will eat out of my hand. The white one tends to run, and the EE is somewhere in between...
