Sapphire Olive Egger....pullet or cockerel?

The rust color alone does not mean male, in fact having it on the chest in some breeds is a indicator of female. A comb that size at 7 weeks... Not sure if any leghorn pullets would have that, but the red color and size of the waddles should be enough to prove males. Not sure how Hoovers guarantee,if any, works. Maybe they wait for saddle feathers for all birds????so that is what their customer reps are trained in.

This is a leghorn and legbar cross cockerel at 4-5 weeks

Update on this guy at least..... should be 8.5 weeks. This morning at first sight of sunrise, heard something from the coop camera that sounded... almost like an attempted crow. Ifeel this would be insanely early for that. Looked at the camera and this guy was awake but went back to sleep. No clue if it was him/ her. He's looking like a beautiful rooster to me!!

Seriously good-looking bird! I still remember the first time I heard a crow from my please-be-a-girl, don’t-be-a-roo chick. I was in complete denial for nearly a month and a half—but yes, reality hit. Suki took forever to grow those saddle feathers, but when that first crow came out… absolutely hysterical.

If anyone is in or near central Texas or knows anyone in or near central Texas who would like this beautiful boy, we cannot keep him. As of now, he is very sweet. Might be better to take him now while still young and get him used to his new family. Please let me know!
