I want one for my vacation... does anyone know where i can get a pattern ON LINE for one... or can any of you crafty people help me out?...

I have tried Butterick and Simplicity today but they are in the fall winter stuff still. I cant go and buy one, because i am a ++size gal and all the ones in the store are for average size women

like these, not the pattern of the fabric.. just the pattern of the skirt

Measure your waist. Now multiply it by 2.25.

That's how many inches you need.

Example:
30 waist x 2.25 = 67.5 inches. So say 70 inches.

To wear a sarong, you wrap the fabric around your body twice, and tie the top corners. It's just a long rectangle hemmed & trimmed.

Yep, because you're under 2 layers of fabric the hips don't matter, just the waist measurement.

Now if you're shorter like me, you may need to cut the yards down the length to make it short enough not to step on, but it's still a rectangle.

I have two of these, I bought them in Hawaii for next to nothing. Their great because you can double them and wear them as a top or around the waist or from the chest area all the way down to below to cover everything. A vendor showed me how to make all the different ties for it and what the best way to tie it with my body style. He even gave me a handout.

If you just google hawaiian sarong you get all kinds
