Saturday Night Lime or PDZ?

Both, but for which purpose are you asking?

We use horse bedding pellets on the floors of all coops and brooders.

For mite/lice prevention, we use food-grade diatomaceous earth monthly.

On the railings where they perch in front of the nest boxes we use stall refresher/PDZ.

For our side of the creek, in the spring, we use 1st Saturday Lime on the marshy areas to kill mosquito larvae.

I don’t consider them interchangeable. I have used PDZ in the coop to keep the smell down but I use FSL to keep the ground near the coop from growing mold where food gets spilled because my coop is in a very shady spot in a very rainy place. I have used FSL in the coop recently because part of the floor got wet and I didn’t want anything growing there either. Not sure if it helped as much as keeping the window closed during storms haha
