I saw a wild turkey walking down main street this morning at a busy intersection like it was walking down the country lane.
No one down that way keeps turkeys, its all gas stations and dunkin donut type places there and it definitely looked like the wild turkeys that ended up on my front lawn last year.
Do they usually go out alone like that and not stay with at least one other? I can't imagine how far it had to come from to get where it was as the nearest woods is a good distance away.
I hope no one hurts it.
Goes to show how much the town is over building now, they are driving all the coyotes out into the open too, they walk down busy main streets in the middle of the day here now. The animal control officer told me he is getting over a dozen phone calls a day about the coyotes.
The deer population is the same way, use to be you never ever saw one when I was growing up and now they won't stay out of my parents' yard.
