I just happened to be out at the chicken coop when I looked in the nest boxes and saw one of my leghorn pullets sitting in the box. I did some work around there, then I decided to check & see if she was done, because the other 2 girls had already laid their eggs. I opened the box lid, and she was kind of standing, squatting and an egg slid right out into the nest box. It was so neat, but bizarre. Any way, I learned that they come out fat end first...with the pointier end last. Very cool!!
