Does anyone have appleyard saxony crosses? Wanting to know what they look like?

I had a few; just note that the duck on the right in the third picture is a Welsh Harlequin/Saxony. Sorry I don’t have better pictures!

Awesome. Ty so much. I love appleyards but like the look of the saxony drake more and worried he would be to heavy for my 2 welshies.

Mine wasn't too heavy. I agree, Saxony drakes are handsome! This is Henry, he was the father of the ducklings pictured above.

Are they gentle with their girls? I had a blue runner drake that we had to get rid of because NOBODY could relax not even my geese

Henry was good with them, but a bit over-enthusiastic. I only had two hens though; would advise having at least four, so he can spread his attentions more evenly.
The hens were Silver Appleyard and Welsh Harlequin, and I think he liked them both equally. In the spring, if he did get too pushy, I'd lock him up on his own for a bit, and that would seem to reset his brain.

He did hate my dog (in my profile picture) and was forever seeking ways to torment her.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much. I'll keep you updated with pics. Ordering 2 appleyard hens and saxony male nx week because my welshie is sitting on eggs and they are due to hatch in roughly 10 days and they can bond with each other.
