saying goodbye to a cockerel any advice?

We have to allow our awesome SS cockerel (10 wks) to go live on an awesome farm. Sounds great, right? Not so much. My son, who many of you follow on Hunter's City Chicken on FB... is getting sad and worries about Oliver in his new environment. I have heard that when only one from a flock goes it is difficult to be accepted, but we just do not have any others to spare. any advice to make us feel better and to help in assimilation into his new flock?

Perhaps some chicks, put in with him will give him his "flock". It's tough and the farm taking him should know the issues that my spring up and be on the watch for it. Is ther another cok at the new farm? He's so young though, perhaps he will fly under the radar in his new home until he gets established.
