How I should treat my rooster, the poor guy has scales on his legs which seems quite painful?

Actually, treating at night is ever so much easier as it is simply a matter of plucking the bird off the roost and doing the work. If the legs are very bad, I would bring the bird inside to soak the legs first and gently scrub them with a soft bristle tooth brush, dry the bird completely if it is cold where you are then dip the legs in oil, wipe off the excess then slather on Vaseline to help suffocate the SLM. Put back on the roost. After the initial treatment, apply Vaseline as needed when you see it has worn off, again doing so at night.That's it, thank you very much, it sounds quite serious.
