My polish hen had THE worst looking feet ever. They were so scaly and white. I followed some advice that I read here about mixing a bit of Sevin dust with Vaseline and caking it all over their legs. A few of my other chickens had scaly legs but nothing like my Polish but I decided to treat all of them. After just 2 weeks of coating their legs every other day, they have some BEAUTIFUL legs!

Thanks BYC'ers!

P.S. I've searched all over our area for food grade DE but can't find it. I'll be ordering some of that soon to prevent further infestations.

Good job! I am doing the same with my flock right now. I have my best roo in the house and he must be feeling better because he has started to crow again. Good to know that this regimen works. TErri O

I Think My Hens May Have Scaley Leg Mites... Instead Of Sevin Can You Use De Or Prozap (poultry Dust)? Did You Withdrawl From Using Your Eggs?? Until After Done With Treatment?
