How do you treat your birds with SLM?

Here is my method, that my uncle taught me. I’m sure some of you have probably heard of this method as well...

Materials:
Disposable Gloves
Spoon
Plate/Bowl (or anything really to mix in)
Parasite Powder (7 dust, Viper Dust, etc)
Vaseline

I don’t really know exact measurements but next step is mixing Vaseline and the Powder

Mix until it looks something like this:

Now for the fun part... CHOOSE YOUR VICTIM!
My guy is a silkie Bantam.
I started treatment yesterday (have used this method in the past with other birds).

Pretty bad..

Now, put on gloves and apply your mixture to the front and back of the legs; making sure to get between ceases and all.

Before and after (only treated once... one more treatment should do the trick!):

Never had chickens with SLM. But I assume the info is complete and correct.​

Dont forget to coat the roosts in coops. Vaseline alone on the roosts will suffice. I prefer Nu-Stock to treat legs and roosts.
