My broody has developed scaly leg mite, I have a solution to treat it however she has 5 two week old chicks, can I still treat this or could it harm the chicks, if so what else could I use?

I was going to suggest the vaseline/cooking oil method too. Give your girl a nice massage while you're there and it wouldn't hurt to oil up the feet and legs of her chicks while you're at it. Will give the birds some positive reinforcement, bonding time with you too. (chicken thoughts) "Here comes Hollilouu! I can hardly wait for that massage! Hollilouu gives the best massages! Good things come from Hollilouu."I've never seen that product before. However since your concern are with the 5 week old chicks, you can always apply olive oil or vaseline to your broodies legs to smother the scaly leg mites. You'll have to continue to apply either to her legs until the scales are completely free from mite dirt and laying completely flat on the legs/feet.
