Scaly leg mites but infected?

I took my 6 month old Orpington hen to the vet yesterday where they said she scaly leg mites and gave her ivermectin. I noticed she had a few scabs up the side of her leg which I wasn’t super concerned about. When I got home and soaked her she has hardened black and yellow crust around the tops of her legs right by the joints. I am assuming it’s a secondary infection? I ordered antibiotics but can anyone let me know if 1. Is this something else? Or 2. Have yours had a secondary infection and did they recover? I’m honestly worried the one leg may be too bad to get better at this point.
