?Scaly Leg Mites?

I was looking at my mottled Japanese hen yesterday and I realized that her legs are really swollen looking and flaky & scaly though she isnt having any trouble moving around. Ive heard that this is what Scaly Leg looks like. Is that what she has and if so how do I treat it? Thanks in advance!

Treat the legs with petroleum jelly and roosts with oil. Keep the legs gooped up for a couple weeks to make sure you get all the bugs. That should resolve the problem. You may need to do all your birds' legs to make sure they haven't picked them up, as well.
