So my bantam girls are finally big enough to stay outside. They love exploring the coop run area, but are scared of the enclosed portion. I am feeling like such a rookie, but how can I encourage them to go in there and sleep at night? I've already decided it's a downside of this coop that there isn't an actual door to the enclosed portion, so even if I stuck them in there manually, they could just bolt right out.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Make a little door or even put a cinder block in front of the opening. Even if you always have the coop open to the run, I think you need to be able to lock them up just in case.
