I have a pullet that we are just about sure is a rooster now. he/she crows, and hasn't started laying yet (if it'll ever!) However, it is a super scaredy cat. It is the lowest in the pecking order, and just trying to approach it will make him/her run away in fright. I also hear the roosters are generally big and bold and agressive. Is that just a myth?

It is often true, but occasionally not. My neighbors have a timid roo. He's young, though, and I fully expect he'll get bolder with age. You never know what kind of roo you will have until the hormones kick in. Once that happens a lot of folks have been deeply dismayed when the sweet, gentle roo they hand-raised from a tiny chick turns into a demon. Give your guy some time to come into his own.

Good luck.
