Scary thing in egg

Is it solid inside? If so, could be a lash egg. If not, I had one of my girls lay something like that inside a shell-less egg. One year old Wyandotte. It was really nasty--bloody and yolky inside. Thankfully that's been a couple of months without repeating. I think I'm skipping eggs for breakfast this morning just thinking about it. ;)

Hi. Just cracked one of my eggs and this came out with it. What the heck is this thing?
Thanks for any help:)

Cutting that thing in half might tell more....it does look like a lash(chunk of pus from infection).

We cut it open and yellow stuff came out. I don't know which chicken layed this but should I be concerned for her? Thanks for the input:)

Could be a funky, malformed or immature yolk...could be sign of infection.
Was there a 'normal' yolk inside this egg?

I wouldn't worry, but remain vigilant.
Funky eggs happen, if you see it once, not to worry....
.....if it continues, then start looking closer.
Do you know which bird laid it?

It had a totally normal yolk. We're not sure which hen laid it but we haven't gotten anymore weird eggs.
Thanks for the help everyone!:)
