Scissor beaks/quail

Anyone have any idea on snacks for these special quail or special feeding ideas .i have one coturnix quail boy with a scissor beak

My scissorbeak girl just eats what the others eat. She has picked up the knack of turning her head sideways to get her beak where she wants.

Does your scissorbeak have a missing eye too?

No hahahaha he's normal just a unnatural cross beak .he eats feed fine but can't grab meal worms and crickets so I'm looking for snacks like so he can grab

Hah OK. I am not sure if my girl has a crossed beak because her eye is missing or if her eye missing was a side effect of the scissorbeak! Mine likes mealworms but because of her missing eye she can't aim correctly when pecking so it takes a while! She can't do greens etc which is sad.

Hi Monkau! One of my quails was born without and eye and has scissor beak! Do you have any suggestions or advice for keeping them happy? Did you need to trim the beak often? Any treats that work well with a one-eyed, scissor-beaked quail?
