Scraps for chickens, yes or no?

Is it okay to feed our table scraps to our chickens? So far, all I have given them is fruits mainly. My Mom said they love potato peelings? Can they have potato peelings and left overs?

Table scraps are fine. Recommended even. Be very careful with potato peels. The green skins are bad for them. Other than that there is very little they can't eat. Raw garlic is especially good for them.
