 Scratch

As a Poultry Nutritionist for Purina, I would not recommend feeding Scratch at a rate that would make up any more than 10% of the total diet. Scratch contains grains that are low in protein, calcium, phosphorus and many essential vitamins and minerals. Feeding more than 10% scratch to any poultry will reduce the amount of complete feed and dilute the nutrition below the threshold that will meet their nutritional requirements. Feeding scratch can be fun and exciting. But limit the amount to less than 10%.
