I have seen feeds like Country Feeds Egg producer (used to be Agway) that would state to feed half scratch & half feed. I believe they were put in separate feeders. This would make protein around 15 % & they assumed the birds were self-regulating. Totally different if mixing 16% layer feed with scratch.
