Screen Door

For a wooden screen door I'd put it on the inside and cover the edges with some 3/4" wood to make a sandwich. I'd also make the door open out so anything pushing on the door can't open it.

I did the inside. Not much room for wood over it as I've installed inside stopper strips so nothing can push it in. It'll be in a run so I think it'll be ok. I'll likely have a hot wire right on it at night also.

I had to have the screen door push in as the outside door opens out. I put reinforcements on the inside over the existing screen and hook an eye to hold it shut. I use it as extra ventilation on warm days but don’t leave it open over night.

Came up with a diy window opener holder. Didn't predrill and broke it but still holding the window in today's strong gusts.

Is the prop stick hinged on the window?

Instead of using a 2x3 cut two pieces of 3/4" plywood and glue them together. Then cut out the slot. Another option you could drill a hole in the frame and the prop stick and use your bolt to pin it to the frame if that makes any sense.

I think I'll just drill into the frame after all. I didn't do it that way because I was going to make a few for multiple positions, but I think that's not really necessary.
