Hey guys and girls i cant find any support in nova scotia for duck eggs even on this forum

My stubborn girls wont lay anything and iam laid off work for the next 4 months so i have soo much time for hobbys its great

Anyway i read some that say eggs are viable for 5 days 10 days and upto 20 days so shipping shouldnt be a problem...

Anyway iam wondering if anyone would be willing to mail me 4 fertile eggs? I can pay you, or send something back whatever it takes

J do you know if there are any restrictions as far as shipping eggs from the U.S. ? I could try sending Cayuga or call duck eggs if they start laying again soon. But you may not want another "anti" lol!
I can't make promises on fertility. . if I were you I'd get more than 4 in case some get damaged in shipping or if they don't all hatch.

Have you tried local chicken groups on Facebook? That's where I got my chicken hatching eggs, ducklings and some of my ducks from.

I only have muscovies and none of my girls are laying anyway. I just wanted to offer some help. I hope you find some eggs!

I'm pretty certain the eggs would be fertile with as many drakes as I have. But it's kind of the "off" season at the moment and the Cayuga ducks aren't even laying at the moment.

Take into consideration that the hatch rate really goes down when shipped. 40% to 60% is the norm for eggs that are shipped, even when packaged really carefully.

Good point!

You might have to wait until it starts to warm up. Maybe you can find some then.
