Seasonal Layers?

I have two 8 month old Anconas that are still not laying. From my reading it says around 5 months for them to start laying normally. We are now into winter here in Upstate NY. I was wondering are Anconas seasonal layers? I thought they were going to be year round layers. And I know I need to just be patient but being these are my first ducks I am excited and don't want to wait any longer!

I'm not sure how the seasons effect Ancona vs other breeds, but I would say yes they are seasonal. We also have Anconas around the same age, along with Runners and Pekins, 17 females total. Two just started laying of the group, and I'm in central Florida. In not really expecting full on production for another month or two. Be patient! Be strong! It's very much worth it.

I'm not sure about ducks, but pullets will sometimes skip their first winter if it happens at their normal POL. Seems like my two little pullets are doing that. Their combs are red, but no eggs so far.

Since days will start getting longer eggs will start coming.My 2 8 month old Indian Runners just started to lay this week. 1 chicken just started back.

My year old ducks just started to lay this week..and they are not seasonal layers...so be patient, everyone will start to get on tract with more daylight hours
