I cannot move back to Alaska, so I thought I would bring Alaska to me! I am making a huge garden in my backyard and for the first time in 25 years I purchased 8 chickens (2 more than the city allows but who cares).

4 silkies
2 americuanas (did I spell that right)
1 Bantam red
1 I forgot!






SO if there are any Organic peeps out there in Bellevue please let me know! I am the only conservative in my neighborhood and certainly the only one with chickens!

Hi, we live in Tacoma! We currently have 5 chicks, raising them for eggs (got them 3 weeks ago). Check the city regulations. Tacoma has a limit of 6 ADULT birds (10 with neighbor approval). We are getting an additional 5 Cornish X tomorrow...raising for meat.

You might want to check out NWedibles.com. She is on FB as well. Great info on when and what to grow in our crazy climate. She also raises chickens and ducks.
