Second chicken started laying!

Yeah!!!! So 21 weeks and a day old, 2 weeks after my first girl laid. So these are my 2 barred rock ladies. I watched her today it was her first time laying and she was stressed. Hopefully she'll have an easier time for egg#2.

Aww, the first time is always a little rough on them. My d'uccle bantam laid for the first time just a week ago and I was able to spot the lead up while tucking them in : )

Unfortunately it was too late for me to stick around and observe her, but she was fussy and I was able to give her a little nudge to the nest boxes. Laid the most perfect, tiny egg <3

Fingers crossed your girls have an easy time figuring it out : ) sometimes the second confuses them. Thor the cornish bantam laid her first in the nest box and her second a week later in the middle of the run : P
