Our lone White Leghorn hen went through her first molt during the spring of 2020 and began molting again about 2 weeks ago. She's now closing in on 4 years old and looks like the pic below. I caught her on the roost last night and gave her a thorough examination: no mites, lice, scaly legs, nothing but a pale comb and cranky old-hen attitude.
She hasn't laid an egg in almost a month- I'm certain of this since she's the only white egg layer we have. How long before she starts laying again and what (avg) number of eggs/week can we look forward to? Any guesses from experience?
