Would like to share our new coop pictures. The coop is 6'x8' with 2 roosts and 3 nest boxes. Haven't uncovered the boxes as girls are about 3 weeks away from laying. Used leftover tin from roof for poop boards. Just scoop up poop with garden trowel every day or too--very easy. Going with deep litter method and so far very good. Run is 10'x24' with half of it covered with a tarp. They've been in coop/run for 3 months and all is still clean and smell free. Tried to provide plenty of ventilation. Windows on all 4 walls and a removable screen insert for door that I use during the day, unless rain is forecast. We have 14 hens, all varieties and I could sit and watch them all day, but have to limit it to about 15 minutes in the evenings. Best stress reliever I know. Enjoy this website so much.
