Hello I am seeking advice on which turkey variety would be the best to raise.

They would be free ranging and we would like to raise them for their meat but dont want a white turkey.

My boyfriend was looking at bronze and burban(sorry probably mispelled that) turkeys at rural king.

We live in PA so something that can handle our weather.

I haven't done any research but he was asking if I could ask anyone for advice on what we should get.

You only have one choice for a breed because all domestic turkeys are the breed Turkey. If you want them for meat, one of the broad breasted varieties would do well. Bourbon Reds are a heritage variety and will take much longer to reach processing weight.

White turkeys present the cleanest, best looking carcass once processed. Broad breasted turkeys are available in white or bronze.

Any of the turkey varieties can easily handle the weather in PA.
