what type of container do you use to hold the water? I would think a five gallon bucket with a lid would be best , just not sure ill get a water tight connection to the bucket because its concave and the bulk head fitting is flat. I would like to know what yall are using, thank you so much, this site has been so helpful thus far I'm sure a simple question wont be any different!! Thanks again everyone! Joe

Bulk head fitting should have a threaded end with a nut to tighten down on the back side; as well as a gasket. Between the nut forcing the plastic into a flatter shape and the compression of the flexible gasket, you should be fine.

Edit: I'm not sure to which design you're referring, but could the bulk head be placed on the very bottom of the bucket where it is flat?

That would be too easy! Haha, the way i was going to set it up required it to go out the side of the bucket, if i have enough space i will absolutely use your method, out the bottom of the bucket! Thanks again so much @ChickenRelatedUserName

I made this one and it's been great. once a month i wash it out just to be on the safe side but I've not had any issues with slimy water or things contaminating it either..

A 2 inch toilet tank to bowl gasket has worked wonders for me. there's a male threaded coupling on the pvc pipe and i slip it through the hole in the bucket, put the gasket on and tighten a female threaded coupling on and viola!
