This year we can again share eggs for hatching from some of our long established lines of heritage poultry. At the Green Corner Poultry Yard we strive to maintain and promote vigorous strains of chicken breeds that were an integral part of the Canadian agricultural heritage, widely appreciated for their practical qualities and stylish appearance. Raised for many decades on farms and in villages across Ontario, these breeds were admired for their productive performance as well as their distinctive appearance.
As with any good Leghorns, ours are good egg layers, but with a distinguished shiny solid black plumage. They are one of two breeds we are offering this year. I have been raising Black Leghorns since 1962 and would sincerely like to see others enjoy this lively and vivacious breed.Handsome and productive fowl.
Located in Elgin County, Ontario. Pick up is fine and we can ship the eggs out on Mondays and Tuesdays. Selling on a first-come, first-serve basis. Selling hatching eggs only in quantities of 15 for $7 per egg ($105 per order).
