Selling eggs in Lake County Illinois

Ok, I've been doing some research and have come to the conclusion that if you are selling eggs on your own property, you don't need a license/inspection or anything (lake county Illinois). Does anyone here have any experience with this? I've seen people around here just put signs at the end of their driveways saying "Eggs for sale". Does this count as advertising, and does it complicate the rules at all?

Yeah, it's still somewhat a free country... The government hasn't made it illegal to put up a "fresh eggs" sign on your own property.... at least not yet.
