Selling Eggs

I was not sure what category to put this post in.
We will be getting a 140 eggs a week soon and we were wondering how do we sell 'em and do we need special cartons?

Locally I got lucky a local small store that will take them ..any extra eggs go there.. they pay me 2.50. Not alot money but at least every egg is sold and I don't have to try to sell thru craigslist. . Most those people want to meet up or half way.. even though I might get 4.00 a dozen ..not worth it..the customers will return carton. When they get eggs again.

Alot people try Craigslist. . If your in town it's easy for them.. some people set up coolers at end of driveway .. all on honor system. .they get eggs and deposit money..
If your out of town but go to town often you could try to set up a delivery system. .2 dozen weekly or something. .

Some people sell thru there coworkers. .

different states have different rules some states have no rules LOL
Here in my state of NH the rules are eggs sold for eating must be called fresh eggs and need to be less than 10 days old (I think) and you are supposed to use new clean cartons for them (most people don't though), have no manure on them, be refrigerated and either sold by standard grades using a certified scale to weight them into grades or sold as ungraded and you can't sell across state lines without a permit/license (but honestly a lot of people pay no attention to any of these rules)

Hatching eggs are far more complex but again a lot of people ignore the rules
