Selling Eggs

We don't have our chickens yet, but when selling eggs, do you label them free range? organic? have them sign a waiver just in case heaven forbid someone got sick from your eggs?

I wouldn't label them organic unless you only feed the hens organic food. Certainly, if they roam in the daytime they are freerange. As far as someone getting sick from your eggs, that is very unlikely. I keep my nest boxes very clean. Seldom do I even have to wash an egg because of a muddy footprint. Then I do it in cool water. If you feel better, just use a damp paper towel to wipe the eggs before putting them into a carton. Don't worry. People are lucky to get your fresh eggs!

That's what I figured, the hubs...well....he knows only what I tell him and makes up the rest...which is ofcourse wrong 98% of the time.

agree to all. and In my opinion the people that purchase your fresh eggs, won't have an issue with a little poo... they know where it comes from and know what to expect. I sell mine to some people at work, they usually harrass me if there's a feather or some poo on it (VERY MINIMAL) but they aren't deturred from purchasing etc.
Comes with the territory.
People will love to have them.
it's fun to go get the eggs!
