Selling shed peafowl feathers?

Lots of people sell them, usually for $0.50-$1 apiece and they ship in poster containers.

If you want in bulk, usually ebay actually has fair prices often on large numbers of feathers.

That's true, I recently (2 days ago) started looking on Ebay for items and materials. Thanks for the advice!

I have noticed that a lot of those peacock feathers on ebay come from China.
Perhaps this is just me, and yes I do realize that this is probably unfair to say, but I can't help wondering about the conditions that these peas live in (not trying to offend anybody here!).
Unless you need a LOT of feathers, it's likely that some peapeople here will be able to help you out when the guys really start dropping their feathers.

Could also be that they are collecting from wild birds, New. They've got a good climate for blues to live in.

I would just hate to support the ill-treatment of peas!
I do see that some of the ebay pea feather vendors clearly state that the feathers they sell are "cruelty-free."
These all seem to be domestic, not imported feathers.
Just something to look for...

Definitely, all of my animal parts I have ever used in crafts or collected have been killed by natural causes or were collected by people with permits to collect roadkill. I do not buy or deal with anyone if I do not know for certain how the animals were raised. I'm the person who picks up cockroaches and puts them outside (much to my family's dissappointment haha).

Partly why I wanted to ask here - since I know people here with peafowl are raising them themselves, so I know these are birds who are well taken care of.

We sell our sheds and we do ship. We usually get about .50 to $1.00 on average plus shipping. Our only requirement to ship is that someone spend $100.00 not including shipping since it is so much easier to sell in bulk locally. We have several hundred right now. Usuall y we sell them as quickly as we put them on Craigslist.
