Separate food for Rooster?

I agree, feed a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower or a All-Flock/Flock Raiser feed with 18 to 20% Protein with Oyster Shells separately.
I Offer Oyster Shells separately after 15 weeks. The Pullets will take as needed.

I don't even have Cockerels/Roosters and those are what I feed my hens 23 months old.

Feeding this way is good for all ages, although I do feed a Medicated Start and Grow for the first 10 weeks.

I feed Flock Raiser with layer pellets mixed in.
The hens will eat both pellets, & crumbles. I always see my roosters eat around the pellets.
