Separating chicks

We currently have 3 chick, 2 silkies and 1 Swedish isbar. Once we find out who’s a hen and who’s a rooster we will be finding homes for the roosters and keeping hens. When I separate them they all go crazy! I took the Swedish isbar out to explore the backyard alone yesterday and she/he could hear the other two screaming inside so she spent the whole time screaming as well. My concern is if we do have to find homes for one or two of them will they adjust or will they miss the others?

They may miss the boys, they may be glad they are gone. But in any case they should be over it in two or three days.

Ok that makes me feel better! We plan on adding more hens so we don’t have a loner chicken. Unfortunately we can’t have roosters where we live.
