separating chicks

i ended up with 4 roosters in small flock of 12....do i really need to separate the roo's and at what age should i start thinking about that?i plan on keeping one at least. the other 3 are going to the roaster.next year i hope to have a hen hatch our chicks so i don't have to purchase anymore.

Seperate them from eachother or the hens? My Rooster has his own pen and doesn't get in with the ladies. As far as from eachother they can stay together where they have been raised together and they should be fine but 4 Roos with 8 hens is too much and I wouldn't keep all 4 in with the ladies. There is bound to be trouble if you do that.

i would like to keep one roo with the hens.....was wondering if i had to separate the other 3 from each other?or can they just got in a small coop together?

They should be ok together where they have been raised together, just keep a close eye.
